Support for systems and staff groups working with children in Staffordshire
I can offer network support alongside ongoing therapeutic work with a child or young person, as part of work with care experienced children and schools, or as a stand-alone package. I am experienced in chairing and attending therapeutic professionals meetings, particularly when there is a concern that a child’s emotional, social, mental health or additional needs are not being met either by their environment or current support package. My aim is to assist the group to reflect together on what the child or young person may be communicating through their presentation (particularly when it is confusing or distressing), what this might mean and link to, the possible triggers for distress and dysregulation and how best to ensure a holistic support plan going forward.
These meetings can be remote, or in person depending on requirements. In most cases it is important to observe, and meet the child(ren) in the first instance, to gain informed consent and a detailed assessment of what’s happening for them.
